This album is a work in progress. It currently has seven songs that are ready to be shared with the public. As this is a work in progress, the songs that are currently available for your listening pleasure may continue to evolve over time.

The scores for these songs were created in free music notation software called MuseScore. The scores were exported as MIDI files and rendered using Garritan Jazz and Big Band and Garritan Personal Orchestra.

A friend of mine says the song “Eighty Pound Backpack” sounds more like “Twenty Pound Backpack.” However, if I spend winter, spring, and early summer training with a 55 pound pack, I’m ready for 95 pounds by late summer. Compared to 95 pounds, 80 pounds is a reasonably light load. A 95 pound pack boosts my endorphins enough to put me in a trance state, while an 80 pound pack does not put me in a trance state.

Lyrics

Two of these songs have lyrics that have yet to be recorded. The songs I have written lyrics for are “Time for Lunch” and “Mountain Thunder.” Once the vocal tracks have been recorded and mixed, I intend to make these yet to be created mixes available for your listening pleasure.
