In Phase Odd Ordered Harmonics
The charts below show a fundamental combined with in phase odd ordered harmonics. In phase means that both tones originate with a rise in air pressure. The two tones would also be in phase if they were to both begin with a drop in air pressure.
In the charts shown here, and as is usually the case in nature, each successive harmonic is lower in amplitude than the one below it in frequency. The 3rd harmonic is 1/3 the amplitude of the fundamental, the 5th harmonic is 1/5 amplitude, the 7th harmonic is 1/7 amplitude ... and so forth up the scale.
